SEEN This Week 2/24/14

AOS101

This week’s book, author, and event news:

How about some places that promote almost all genres of books for free? Try ReadCheaply, eBookSoda, or Facebook’s own What To Read After 50 Shades of Grey. These sites are FREE and you’ll see sales whether prices are cut or not. On a side note, you don’t have to write erotica or even romance to have 50 Shades promote you via their 7000 email subscribers! Mysteries/thrillers/fantasy/westerns/etc. all do very well.

A new version of Angie’s Diary Magazine has been launched! See what’s new at this link.

Polka Dot Banner also received a recent makeover with some great new features. Click here to visit the site.

How long have you been looking for a modern-day literary masterpiece in the mold of the greats of the 20th century? You won’t want to miss Bayou Jesus by M.G. Miller. Author and two-time Spur Award winner Dusty Richards calls this book“… a class of artisans whose prose will someday sit on august library shelves alongside Steinbeck and Faulkner…” Bayou Jesus is available in paperback, hardcover and Kindle at Amazon.

Shawn Wallis’ upcoming book, The Devil in Polo, is 230 pages that will be read thoroughly and re-drafted before being shipped back to the publisher for final edits. The expected release date is April 2014. For more info, check out The Devil in Polo’s Facebook page.

Have you heard about Jessica Straub’s Meet the Author pay-it-forward event? Sign up here, but hurry; there are limited spaces remaining.

Edward J. Coburn’s The Dog Who Ate The Airplane is a fast-paced mystery that’s almost impossible to put down and has 24 five-star reviews on Amazon. Click here to get your copy.

Book Patrol offered an A to Z on book covers on their site. See any that inspired you to buy the books?

Enjoy Christian thrillers? Christian indie author Cliff Ball offers The End Times Saga, compromised of five novels, at this link.

Author Event of the Week: The Book Whoreders Delights are planning a signing event for June 13, 2015 in the countryside of Northern Virginia! They are preparing the site and sign up sheet, and would love to know everyone’s interests. The group plans to have wine and Whore-d’oeuvres and have The Wingman James Holeva for VIP entertainment. Email bookwhoreders@gmail.com for additional details.
