Book of the Week 6/4/12

An inspirational story of a battle with one’s personal battle with RA, Enemy Within: A memoir of strength, determination & acceptance ( New Holland Publishing Australia Pty Ltd, 2010) by Karen Ager offers a look behind her story of dealing with rheumatoid arthritis from age 17.

Enemy Within is not a “woe is me” story, but one of determination, strength and courage.Readers don’t have to have RA to appreciate this book and its no-sugar-coated, well-written content. Karen Ager’s story is told from the heart.

Dealing with any form of arthritis at a young age is never easy, but Enemy Within is just another fine example of life is only what you make it. We can either sit and feel sorry for ourselves, or we can stand up, tell our story with intentions of motivating others around us while living our own lives to the fullest.
